As @mj_in_pitt pointed out, the Riverhounds have stated that the West Lot under the Fort Pitt Bridge by Highmark Stadium will only be open to individuals that have a ticket to the match against Charlotte until 8:30 pm.

That being said, we still need to ensure that we have a large enough area to get our “MURICA” on before the match.

That’s where you come in. If we are going to reserve a portion of the parking lot for the tailgate, we need to swoop in early like a bald eagle pouncing on a terrorist and put cars in the lot.

Several SA members have expressed interest in getting to the lot early and then either heading over to the Buccos game or checking out the Regatta.

Here is the tentative plan:

10:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Begin putting cars in the lot, and try to save some spaces for others that may be arriving in the early afternoon.
11:00 AM – 3:00 PM: Head over to the Buccos game or the Regatta, or hang around in the lot for pre-tailgate festivities.
3:00 PM – 6:30 PM: Celebrate ‘Merica, and head over to the match.
7:00 PM – 9:30 PM: Watch the Hounds emasculate the Charlotte Bible Thumpers.
9:30 PM – ???: Satisfy the inner yinzer by enjoying fireworks in possibly one of the best views of the city of Pittsburgh.

The key to this all working is having enough people willing to park between 10:00 and 11:00 to ensure that we reserve an area for the tailgate.
