The Hounds went to Rochester and came back with the rare win. To be fair the Hounds were more or less filling in for the Rhinos, but we’ll take any victories up there when we can. The boys were a little sloppier than their last outing against Atlanta 2. Toronto had quite a few dangerous looks in the second half, and eventually got a late goal. Fortunately Toronto is tteerrriibbbllleee and couldn’t do anything about the Hounds two goal lead for most of the game. Despite having a consistent starting 11 for once, Toronto’s defense was particularly bad this week. They looked like a bunch of cones out there and were about as effective. Perhaps they got a little rattled from playing I front of a dozen more people than they’re used to at home. The Hounds attack really had their way…

The Hounds look to keep their best start to a season going as they head… to Rochester… to face Toronto… in what is considered a road game… because USL. Any locals who turn out will most likely want to see Bob Lilley and a handful for former Rhinos come out on top, making this an at worst neutral site match.

The thing about…

GAME 3 RECAP: Canadian Bacon

Riverhounds-Toronto-20180407

While the weather felt like we were in Toronto, that’s about the only thing the Canadian side brought it Highmark Stadium. It was clear from the get go which side was the professional team and which side was he glorified academy squad. Glad to see the kids got permission from their parents to cross the border.

Boy does it feel good to run up a score. This is the 6th time in the last 93 regular season games we’ve eclipsed 4 goals in a match, so not something that happens very often. The last time we left a game with a +4 GD was, maybe unsurprisingly, against TFC 2 at home on 4/25/15. As was pointed out in a couple pre-game notes, the Hounds have never lost to TFC2, and it doesn’t seem like that’s going to change anytime soon.

Speaking of never losing,…

Watch: The YouTubes

On the ‘watching’ note, the days of live on the The YouTubes is at an end. Live streaming of matches will now be on ESPN+ for $5 a month. Anyone who though the league was dumping money into broadcast quality so they could keep giving it away for free were sadly mistaken. This does not change the agreement with Pittsburgh CW. Those matches scheduled for local television will still be there.
