When the New York FC left the USL in late 2011, I remember looking at the roster and bugging our front office to go after their talent.  Obviously the guys who stuck out were forwards Graciano Brito and Jhonny Arteaga.  Well, better late than never.  The Riverhounds are being linked with Jhonny Arteaga, the USL’s leading goal scorer in 2011.  He bagged 13 league goals and 16 in all competitions that season and spent the rest of the year with the NY Red Bulls.  He’s a prolific scorer who knows how to finish, and we’re certainly thrilled with the thought of him getting on the end of Seamon’s through balls (okay, stop laughing).  According to my sources with the club, there is a deal on the table and negotiations are ongoing.  We’d love to see Jhonny on the field when we open up The Highmark!
