Player News and Notes: Scottish German in Camp?

The son of a Scottish serviceman, Kevin Kerr was born in Münster, Germany.  He spent most of his youth in Beilefeld where he was introduced to the game of soccer.

Kevin has bounced around the lower German divisions, peaking at Arminia Bielefeld in the Bundesliga 2 from 2009 until 2011.  He spent the second half of 2011 and the beginning of 2012 at AGOVV in the Dutch professional league, scoring 3 goals.  He’s currently tied to German club SC Wiedenbrück where he chipped in another 4 goals in 2012.

The interesting thing about this kid is that he’s a defensive midfielder who can score goals.  He’s also got the flexibility to play anywhere across the midfield and has been training with the Hounds for the past few weeks.  One member of the coaching staff referred to him as “a real good frickin’ player.”

We feel like Kevin will certainly add depth and possibly compete for a spot in a suddenly crowded midfield.

See, he already looks good in our colors.  Let’s hope that coach Evans has found a gem!
