USL PRO just had their awards ceremony today. It definitely had the feeling of a middle school awards ceremony. The league used the two teams in the championship to fill the media room, and most of the awards were handed out on paper certificates.

At least the Steel Army knows how to provide the REAL hardware.

Anyways, the USL PRO league-leading scorer from the Hounds–forward Jose Angulo–was just awarded the Most Valuable Player award.

“El Tanque” is more than deserving of the award. He borderline carried the Riverhounds on his back for the majority of the season, and at one point was pretty much good for a goal a game.

Maybe Charlotte will try to temporarily loan him for a game to put him out there against Orlando. Because anything goes in USL PRO, right?
