The 2014 Steel Army Annual General Meeting was held today, and went better than Antigua’s entire 2013 season. Among the announcements was the full unveiling and opening of the 2014 Steel Army membership package.
For $25 (or $26 if joining online) members will receive the following awesome perks above and beyond the knowledge that they are contributing to the best supporter’s group in USLPro;
– An exclusive 2014 Steel Army membership scarf. This scarf will not be made available for general purchase and can only be attained be joining the Steel Army as a dues paying member.
– A Steel Army beer koozie. Again, this will only be made available to paid members.
– A 10% discount on all other Steel Army merchandise.
– Having a vote on Steel Army matters, including board positions and the highly coveted Steel Army Player of the Year Award!
– Ability to run for a position on the Steel Army Board of Directors, which includes a board seat that is currently open and will be filled in the forthcoming weeks. Membership will include the ability to run for and/or vote on this position that will serve out the 2014 season and have an immediate impact on the operation of the Steel Army.

If you want to sign up as a Steel Army member, but don’t want to do so online, we completely understand. The opportunity to sign-up, in person, will be available at any of our events, including out first watch party, when the Hounds travel to Orlando City to open their 2014 USLPro campaign. “What watch party?” you ask. Well, that was also discussed at today’s AGM. However, the answer to that and all the other announcement goodness that was revealed today will be posted on this very blog as the week unfolds. That, or you can read back through some previous blog posts and probably piece the watch party news on your own; your choice. However, the sooner you join, the sooner we will have a more accurate picture of where our membership numbers stand.
Everyone on the Steel Army Board of Directors had their expectations blown away by the attendance and support at today’s meeting. All of us, together, doing our part to support the boys out on the pitch will be an awesome thing in which to take part.
