The Riverhounds open up their preseason training this week in Houston as they participate in practices and friendlies with the Dynamo.

We cannot overstate how important this is to a successful 2014 campaign for the Hounds. While other teams are dicking around with open tryouts in February, the Hounds (according to Evans) already have 18 roster spots filled and are looking to build team chemistry before preseason matches even begin in March.

Here is the schedule for the week:

February 16: 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. – Training; 4:00 p.m. – Friendly vs. Dynamo Academy Team

February 17-18: 8:30 – 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. – Training

February 19: 11:00 a.m. – Friendly vs. Dynamo First Team

February 20-21: 8:30 – 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. – Training

February 22: 11:00 a.m. – Friendly vs. Houston Baptist College
