The Hounds have announced that they will received three players on loan from Houston, with a fourth to come after the Dynamo sort out their injury situation.
- Anthony Arena, CB
- Jason Johnson, M/F
- Bryan Salazar, F

NOTES:
- Out of the three players that were announced this evening, Arena has probably the best opportunity to make an immediate impact on the Hounds’ back line. Evans has been piecing together the Hounds’ defense using midfielders-converted-to-wingbacks, and it would be interesting to see if Arena is immediately paired with Andrew Marshall at CB. This would allow Sterling Flunder to shift to wing back, which is his natural position.
- Jason Johnson looks as though he may get worked into the Hounds’ crowded midfield. There is no way that Rob Vincent nor Matthew Dallman will be replaced by Johnson, but if the play of either Ngwenya or Obodai begins to waver at any point, look for Evans to give Johnson a shot. At 6’0″, he possesses a bigger frame that could help the Hounds during more physical matches. Having also been a Jamaican international, his pedigree is a good depth addition to the midfield.
- Bryan Salazar looks to be the wild card in the mix. Looking at his highlight reel, he seems to have a ton of potential. Having gone through the Dynamo academy system, he is truly a home-grown player for Houston. With Angulo, Arteaga, and John presumably occupying forward positions for the Hounds, it seems unlikely that Salazar will be inserted immediately into the lineup. But as injuries and stale outings being to stack up, look for him to push for more playing time as the season progresses.
