When the news article came out the other week about a footgolf course opening in the Pittsburgh area the first thing that popped into a lot of our minds was a Steel Army Open. Planning started that night, and we’re very excited to announce that the 1st Annual Steel Army Footgolf Open is a go!

When: Saturday October 4th
Where: Cabin Greens Golf Course in scenic Freeport.
Time: Registration opens at 12:30 with the first kick off at 1.
Cost: $20 for Members, $25 for non members.

We encourage you to bring your own size 5 soccer ball, however ball rental is available for an additional $3 dollars. Indoor tennis or soccer shoes only.

The footgolf course has a par 33 front 9 (1,013 yards) and a par 39 back 9 (1,639 yards). Carts are available to rent for an additional $5 per person.

We’re working with the team to try to have some players and members of the FO on the course with us. We’ll also have trophies, some raffles, and of course a keg of beer.

If you know you’re coming please sign up with the form below so that we can plan accordingly. Walk-on players the day of are also welcome! We will be grouping people into groups of at least 3 to keep things moving. If you want to be grouped with your friends enter a group/team name in the field below. We hope to see everyone on the course for a fun afternoon of footgolf!

You can brush up on your footgolf rules at the American Footgolf League website. It’s more or less the same rules of golf. Argyle socks are strongly encouraged.
