- Sid van Druenen pulls the eject cord on this season and steps down as Dayton’s head coach.
- The Austin Aztex’s name Paul Dalglish as the head coach for the USL PRO debut next season. Dalglish had a lot of success coaching the Aztexs before making a jump to MLS for a year. He’s a good get for that team.

- The USL is in talks with FC Tuscon of the PDL to make the jump to USL PRO within the next few years.
- USL CEO Alec Papadakis says we could have as many as 22 teams in USL PRO next season counting possible MLS 2 sides.
- Sounds like the USL PRO schedule will see more overhauls next season. Per Papadakis- “Next year we are going to be expanding the season in order to accommodate a better way of dealing with the games,” Papadakis said. Papadakis expects the regular season schedule to run through the end of September as opposed to the beginning of September with an end goal of having a more MLS-like calendar year. Papadakis also hopes to have a Wednesday/Saturday schedule or one match a week instead of the Friday/Saturday schedule the league has now.
- The spat between Orlando City and the supporter groups apparently isn’t over. Head over to Facebook to check out the SG’s statements. It sounds a little bit like what we went through last season just on a larger and more public scale.
- The Sacramento Kings (NBA) are interested in becoming owners of Sacramento Republic. The rich possibly getting richer.
- Sacramento is interested in buying the Chivas USA franchise if it’s available. Don Garber has been adamant about keeping that franchise in the Los Angeles area, but hey money talks.
- MLS officials will visit Sacramento to evaluate it as a possible expansion candidate and tour potential stadium sites.
