No need to sugarcoat anything, it’s looking a little grim. However, there are three two distinct, albeit rough, paths to the post-season. In order of probability, they are;
THE ROCHESTER PATH
Pittsburgh wins at home against Arizona (Saturday)Rochester lose at home against Wilmington (Sunday)Charlotte fail to take all six points in their final two games (Monday at Impact Reserves, Saturday at home against Harrisburg)
THE HARRISBURG PATH
Pittsburgh wins at home against Arizona (Saturday)Harrisburg lose at Charleston (Friday)Harrisburg lose at Charlotte (Saturday)Charlotte lose or tie at Impact Reserves (Monday)
THE WILMINGTON PATH
Pittsburgh wins at home against Arizona (Saturday)Wilmington lose at home against Orlando (Wednesday)Wilmington lose at home against Dayton (Friday)Wilmington lose at Rochester (Sunday)
We will update this post as game results dictate. Two of these paths, Harrisburg and Wilmington, could be dead by Saturday. However, no matter what, the Rochester path will still be alive when the Hounds kick off the regular season finale, on Saturday. If there was ever a reason to invite friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, or the really loud guy with the grating voice from your bus, Saturday is the day to do it. We can help control one piece of this maze, and dammit if we don’t do everything in our power to make sure the Hounds finish this season on a win.
