Friends of the Riverhounds and Steel Army, the Tartan Devils, have won their first round match up in the US Open Cup and will be coming home for round two this coming Wednesday. The Devils will be taking on familiar Riverhounds opponent Louisville City FC. Coincidentally Louisville will be in town three short days later to play the Riverhounds on Saturday. That aside, since the Hounds will be away for their first match up in the tournament, it would be very negligent of us to not head down to Highmark Stadium and support the Tartan Devils. Cancel your plans on Wednesday. This is a call to arms to support Pittsburgh soccer. We want to give the Devils our full support as we watch them give Louisville their first of two losses at Highmark next week. Kickoff is at 7 pm. Ticket are $5 and can be bought in advance on Ticketmaster. Treat it like a Riverhounds match day. I’m sure some people will be down early to tailgate.
