Hey Army! It’s officially 2018 which means our Annual General Meeting is right around the corner. We’re happy to announce that this year it’ll be on Sunday February 11th at Highmark Stadium. Time is TBD but it’ll more than likely be early afternoon.

The AGM is a great time to come out of your winter cave and say hi to your summer friends. As always we’ll be recapping the 2017 season and discussing what we want to do in 2018. If we’re lucky we’ll get to see some construction out the window and get a sense of what our new home will look like.

2018 Membership Packages are now on sale, and if there are no production delays they’ll be available at the AGM. You can renew your membership now through our online store, or pay in person at the AGM. The cost is still $25 in person, $26 online.

In addition to general discussion and merriment we also have a couple board positions to fill this year. Jess and Gary have handed in their resignations and will be stepping down due to life generally getting busy. We’re sad to see them go from the Board, but we’ll still see their smiling faces in the stands. Because of the reshuffling of the Board we have two Membership Representative positions open this year. Any Steel Army member in good standing and who is planning to renew in 2018 is eligible. New this year we’ll have a small questionnaire for interested parties to fill out so that the rest of the membership can get to know you better. More details on that will be sent to the nominated folks after we confirm the nomination. Nominations are open until the end of the month, and votes will be tallied at the AGM. The nomination form is up on the Speakeasy. The password is still the same, but if you forget it’s in the Dispatch emails from the past season.
