Watch Party Saturday
It’s been about a month since the last watch party which means it’s time for another one! Join us this Saturday at Smokin’ Joes in the South Side to cheer on the Hounds as they head down to Old Guard Shield rival Charleston. Kick off is at 7. Party starts at 6. As usual there will be drink and food specials including a free round of the Golden Hound Ale after every Riverhounds goal. Don’t forget you must be 21 and older to attend. We’re back on track kids! Maybe. One step at a time. On Saturday night the Hounds went down toa soggy Richmond and picked up a much needed win to cap off a hella busy stretch of schedule before a nice two week break. Most of the game was a slog. The soaked field killed any momentum the ball had on the ground, and in general play was slow and a bit meandering. Well, it was bound to happen eventually and the last few games made it feel like it was coming sooner rather than later. The odds of going undefeated in a 34 game season was astronomical. Even Rochester, when Lilley won it all, eventually lost one. I think it’s safe to say though that we all hoped it wouldn’t come like this. I’d take a hard fought 2-1 loss on the road, but last night?
