Know Your Enemy: Rochester 6-3-7 (7th in East, 25 pts)
The Hounds travel to upstate New York on Saturday to face off with the Rhinos for the first time on 2017, a little late in the year to be facing their longtime USL rivals. The Rhinos are 1-2-2 in their last five games and are 7th in the Eastern Conference with 25 points, 4 ahead of the Hounds with playing two less games. I’ve lost track of how many times I come out of a game thinking “well they played alright, it just wasn’t their night.” It’s getting tiring to say the least. Maybe the guys had too many hot dogs earlier in the day, or maybe Charlotte just has our number- we’re 0-5-2 against them over the last three seasons. Whatever it was, Tuesday night sure didn’t go according to plan. While the roster may have been different, the Hounds played similar to how they did against Tampa nearly two weeks before.

The Hounds try to make it two wins in a row at home as they set to host the Charlotte Independence for the traditional 4th of July match at Highmark. It is the lone match on the USL schedule so all eyes in the league will be on Pittsburgh. Charlotte will be coming in hot as well, winning three matches in a row vaulting them to 5th in the Eastern Conference with a record of 6-3-4. The three wins have come against Rochester, Richmond and Harrisburg, two of them at
