Tifo painting 4/6

It’s that time of the year again! The home opener is quickly approaching which means we have a tifo to paint. For any new folks, a tifo is typically a large painted banner displayed at the beginning of a match to show support for the team. Check out the tifo page for some past examples of ones we’ve done. Tifo displays are a big source of pride for supporters groups, but they do require quite a bit of work to pull off. This is where you come in.

Unlike some supporter groups in this league we still hand paint our banners, and they’re not going to get done on their own. Even though we try to make it easy on ourselves (we’re not all art majors after all), it can still take longer than you’d think to get done. The more people who stop by to throw down some paint, the quicker and better it goes. We love doing tifo’s but we need your support to turn them into reality.

Join us on Saturday April 6th at 9 AM in Squirrel Hill. The full address is in the Speakeasy section of the site. We paint in pretty much all weather unless it’s raining. If it does rain the make up date will be the next day, same time and place. Painting will last as long as it needs to to get done. If you’re planning on coming out later check our Twitter feed first to make sure we’re still working on it.

Finally, if you’re planning on coming out we always appreciate if you bring a cheap paint brush and maybe a cup or something to hold paint. We have some of our own but it never hurts to have extra.
