BMO Field – 2PM

Highmark Stadium – 3PM

Tickets: $5 (U.S. currency) at the door gets you in. Another $10 gets you in amongst the more posh of supporters

Watch: The YouTubes

On the ‘watching’ note, the days of live on the The YouTubes is at an end. Live streaming of matches will now be on ESPN+ for $5 a month. Anyone who though the league was dumping money into broadcast quality so they could keep giving it away for free were sadly mistaken. This does not change the agreement with Pittsburgh CW. Those matches scheduled for local television will still be there.

GAME 6 RECAP: Off the Rails

train-wreck

Saturday was a season defining moment, but not in a way any of us expected or wanted. What Parkes did to Ouimette in the waning moments of the game is indefensible. It’s fortunate Ouimette wasn’t seriously injured and was able to travel home with his team. The kick and ensuing coverage brought a black mark to the Riverhounds and the USL. For a club and league that wants to be taken seriously there was only one acceptable response to it- the immediate suspension and cutting of Romeo Parkes. A lot has been written over the wekeend, and there’s probably more to come in the following weeks. At this point there’s no need for us to pile on. So our boys come home tonight still looking for the first three points of the season, facing the team that ended their 2015 season in the New York Red Bulls II. So how are the Red Bulls doing this season and what are some things we should look at as we head in to the match.

The Red Bull reserves again look to be a strong side and should be contending for a playoff spot this year as they currently sit 4th in the Eastern Conference with 11 points. They lost their first match only recently on Sunday, falling 2-0 to the Charlotte Independence at home this past Sunday, which made their record 3-1-2. Some common opponent stat stuff time as we take a look at…

Opponent: Orlando City B
Record: 0-3-1 (13th in East)
Supporters Group: Harbor City Hooligans, Iron Lion Firm

The Hounds host Orlando City B on a rare Friday night game at the Highmark. This will be the second consecutive game versus a MLS reserve side. Our boys are still looking for their first win as is our opponent OCB.

Are you down with OCB? Well, yes, you know me. Orlando City B comes to Pittsburgh with 1 point from their first four games and judging from match reports they have struggled to find their footing as a new reserve side in this league. They opened the season with two home games, losing to Wilmington and clinging to the bitter end to earn a scoreless draw against Charleston. OCB goalie Mark Ridgers earned USL team of the week honors for his 7…
