Game 26 Recap: Road Draw

The Hounds continued their good run of form over the weekend by heading down to Cincinnati and snagging a point. No small feat considering Cincinnati has proved to be a tough place to play since coming into the league, and for us in particular they seem to have our number. The Hounds may still be looking for a win against Cincinnati, but they didn’t let them trip up our streak to the finish line.

The Hounds came out hungry to start the game and were rewarded with an early goal from Hertzog. The re-emergence of Hertzog continues to be the catalyst for the Hounds offense down the stretch. 4 goals in the last 3 games from him alone. I’m not sure if anyone else in the league is as hot has he is right now. Hertzog can’t stop, won’t stop. It’s the…

Three wins on the spin!! What?!?! Hounds have settled on a consistent lineup and the chemistry has started to come together.

Busy day, so we’ll keep it brief.

Game 25 Recap: Great Balls of Fire

Don’t look now but the Hounds are hot! On Saturday night the boys smacked down visiting Bethlehem for their third straight win and third straight multi-goal game. While we would prefer to not be on the outside looking in on the playoffs, the final stretch of games is exactly when you want your team to find their groove. And boy have they. We’re finally seeing the exciting multi-goal games that we saw at the beginning of the season; games that have been sorely missed. It’s not just exciting because of the recent results but exciting because the team is looking good. Despite the recent rash of season ending injuries in key players like Hollingsworth and both Mitchel and Broome, something has finally clicked in the locker room. We’re seeing confident play by the midfield and offense, and most importantly Hertzog found…

Coming off what may be the biggest win of the season, the boys will be looking to maintain the momentum and make it two wins in a row and get firmly into the playoff discussion. Sadly, that statement can describe both the beloved Hounds and Saint Louis. While we all basked in the glow of Keystone Derby glory, Saint Louis went out and took an equally huge three points off of Tampa Bay in last…
