As we approach the start of the 2013 campaign, two current Hounds have pledged their loyalty by signing new deals.

Our current number one, Hunter Gilstrap, has put pen to paper on a new two year contract.  Last season was another solid year for the keeper who ranked 3rd in the league with 92 saves.  Gilstrap has provided stability between the sticks, winning the Goalkeeper of the Year award in 2010 and leading the club into the playoffs in 2011 after posting 7 clean sheets.

Nikola Katic has also committed to the club, signing a new 3 year deal.  The imposing center back and fan favorite is looking to help the team match it’s off-field success.  “Trust me nobody wants more for our team to be successful this year then I do.”  Niko added, “It’s great to be part of a growing organization like the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.”

As supporters, we’re very happy with the commitment shown by these two.  Niko is the heart and soul of this squad and Hunter can change any game with his stellar play.
