Pittsburgh Riverhounds (0-1-1) at Dayton Dutch Lions (0-0-0)
7:30 PM – Beavercreek High School Stadium, Dayton, OH
Hey Dayton. We don’t speak “freaky-deaky Dutch.”
We are sending a contingent of Steel Army supporters into the Lions’ den (literally) as members are carpooling to Dayton to watch the Hounds play for their first win of the season.
Historically, Dayton has been on the receiving end of most of the Cleveland steamers dropped on the chests of USL PRO teams, and today, the Riverhounds look to Dutch-oven the Douche Lions.
Bringing back 3 points to Pittsburgh is essential to start building some traction this season.
LAST MEETING: July 4, 2012 – Beavercreek High School – 1-0 Lions
HOUNDS PLAYER TO WATCH: Jose Angulo, F – Anuglo scored the only goal during the Hounds’ home opener against Harrisburg. Scoring on a cross from Matty Dallmon, Angulo displayed exactly why he was brought in by Evans and company — to put pressure on the opposing D and finish more opportunities. It will be interesting to see if Angulo will get the start today, or if he will be brought in as a “power sub.”
WHAT THEY’RE SAYING: @OranjeLegion (Supporters’ Group for Douche Lions)
PROBABLE RIVERHOUNDS STARTING XI: Gilstrap, Costanzo, Marshall, Vazquez, Flunder, C’deBaca, Motagalvan, Seamon, Kinne, Arteaga, Angulo
