That tweet from back at the beginning of May by Andrew Marshall was a prophesy of things to come.
We all knew the FO had aggressively sought out talent this offseason, but it seems now that players like Dallman, Angulo, Arteaga, and Kinne are finding their place on the offense. The soft goals that plagued Hunter and company on defense have been non-existent the past two home games, as the Hounds have held opponents for 186 straight minutes scoreless at home.
The Rhinos have given the Hounds problems ever since they re-joined USL in 2008. On Saturday, however, the Hounds showed the fans at the Highmark what they are capable of — shutting down the attack, controlling possession in the middle of the field, and constantly putting pressure on the opposing side’s keeper.

The Riverhounds currently sit 9 out of 13 in USL PRO, one spot out of the playoffs.
NOTES:
- The Hounds have unleashed (pun) quite a three-headed monster in Angulo, Arteaga, and Dallman. Angulo is cleaning up all of the dirty goals, Arteaga is becoming more patient and sniping from the outside, and Dallman is the Architect of it all. Currently, Angulo sits in the top 10 in USL PRO for goals, and Dallman leads the league in assists.
- It was nice to see Ryan Kinne get on the scoreboard. He started the season strong in Richmond, but has only seen spot-starts in the past few games. Perhaps this extra bit of offense will inspire Evans to utilize him more frequently in games.
- Hunter got his first clean sheet at home this season. Hopefully, with the defense playing better in front of him, he can stay closer to the back line and trust his team mates. He did not seem nearly as frantic this match.
