Saturday is a full day for everyone, kids.
We have two games to attend and get our soccer supporter craziness on. Consider the following your full itinerary, about where you will want to start and end your day as we keep the party going for nine hours. Pro tip: Wear comfy shoes.
Noon o’clock – The day kicks off at Social at Bakery Square (6425 Penn Avenue) where you may properly imbibe before we head over to the SCFC match. The parking garage at Bakery Square is also your best place to park, with limited parking at the field location.
1:45PM – We walk/march/stroll/dance a jig over to the Ellis School (6425 Fifth Avenue) to cheer on the ladies of Steel City FC as they take on a team from Detroit. Bring the riot.
2PM – Kickoff
4PM-ish – We take a celebratory drive to Highmark Stadium for game two. This is also the time that those who didn’t make it out for the first game will be setting up tailgate festivities for the Hounds match.
4:30PM-ish – Tailgating in full force at Highmark stadium (you know the place) as we get properly oiled up for a big one against Charleston.
6:40PM – WE ENTER!
7PM – Kickoff for Hounds vs Charleston. We properly welcomes coach Dave Brandt to Pittsburgh and get all of the Rob Vincent songs out of our system early (and probably often).
9PM-ish – Celebratory post-game beverages back in the parking lot.
After: Everyone scrambles to the tv of their choice to watch the last two periods of Pens/Sharks.
We would love to see as many people out as possible on Saturday. It’s going to be the first nice weather for gameday since… last season. We need to have our section loud and rocking for a chance at three huge points (all points are huge, at this moment) like we did against Toronto.
