Hounds look to get two quick home wins in a row when they host Toronto FC II tomorrow night for the USL Game of the Week, this comes just days after beating Harrisburg 1-0.
Toronto is 1-2-3 after three straight scoreless draws against Rochester, Ottawa and Louisville City. The lone win of the season for Toronto was in the opening week of the season against Phoenix 1-0.
Just like some of the Hounds recent opponents, Toronto is having a hard time finding the back of the net, only scoring two goals through six games.
One of the goal scorers was Malik Johnson, who has had some success scoring against Pittsburgh in the past. Though TFC II has not been scoring, they have also not been conceding goals, with three clean sheets in a row, two on the road.
Speaking of, this is Toronto’s third road match in a row. Toronto goaltender Angelo Cavalluzzo earned him USL team of the week honors for making 10 saves in the draw at Louisville.
Toronto is one of the USL opponents that the Hounds seem to have consistent success against, going 4-0-1 against TFC since the reserve side joined the league in 2015, let’s hope it continues.
