Riverhounds Night Out

Hey Army!

If you haven’t been aware, over the last two seasons the Riverhounds have partnered with the Delta Foundation and other groups to host Night Out- an evening at Highmark Stadium in support of our local LGBTQ+ community. This year we’ve been asked if we wanted to join in on the party. We’ve always supported the LGBTQ+ members in our band of misfits, so it seemed like a no brainier to say heck yeah!

Join us in the supporters section on Friday May 11 when the Hounds take on Indy 11. If you don’t have tickets yet a great little package is available at the following link. For $25 you get a ticket to our section and 2 drink vouchers. Additionally 20% of what you pay will go to a donation to the Stonewall Sports.

Watch: The YouTubes

On the ‘watching’ note, the days of live on the The YouTubes is at an end. Live streaming of matches will now be on ESPN+ for $5 a month. Anyone who though the league was dumping money into broadcast quality so they could keep giving it away for free were sadly mistaken. This does not change the agreement with Pittsburgh CW. Those matches scheduled for local television will still be there.

Steel Army HOV Fund

To go along with our away trip announcement, we’re happy to announce a new pilot program for our carpool warriors. Introducing the Steel Army HOV Fund.

But first, a little bit of history-

Back in the very early days of the Steel Army we didn’t have the large membership base that allowed for bus trips. If we wanted to go somewhere like Cleveland, or Dayton, or Baltimore, we had to carpool. In fact, the first match the Steel Army was at was an away trip to Cleveland. Those early carpools proved to be very formative for the Steel Army. Not only did it strengthen the bonds between fellow members, it was also incredibly fun and memorable. Now a days not only do we have more members but there are also more teams within driving distance that people can go to. However, outside of…
