Antigua is the Mr. John port-a-potty of USL PRO. They haven’t won a game. The Antiguan national soccer team effectively uses this squad to scout its players, and could give two shits about results.

The Hounds need to come out and take care of business, quickly. If they let Antigua know that there is any hope of staying in this game, this is going to get ugly.

The Hounds need to stop screwing around, and win. There is too much talent on this roster, and they should be developing any chemistry they need to pull out three points on a consistent basis.

LAST MEETING: July 27, 2012 – Chartiers Valley High School – 4-1 Hounds

HOUNDS PLAYER TO WATCH: Matty Dallman, M/F – Dallman was just selected to the USL PRO team of the week this week, and generated numerous scoring opportunities in the 2-2 draw against the Douche Lions. Evans has been toying with playing three forwards, and Dallman has been in that mix. He might be small, but he is shifty and quick. Look for him to have a big game against Antigua.

WHAT THEY’RE SAYING: Antigua Barracuda FC Official Site

After a long road schedule, the Barracudas returned home to Antigua for 12 days of rest and time to plot a way forward. Results have not been positive from the last seven games given the team’s defensive frailties and lack of scoring.

The Cudas have now gotten a great boost in their midfield, with the return of St. Kitts and Nevis international Orlando Mitchum. An attacking midfielder, Mitchum will add the much needed creativity Antigua has lacked so far. Mitchum has recorded four goals and five assists in his previous two seasons for the Barracudas, and will be expected to boost an attack that has leant heavily on Tamorley Thomas so far this season.
